Chris Suggs, Attorney

Chris Suggs has lived and practiced criminal law on the Crystal Coast for over a decade. A native of Virginia, Chris attended Radford University for undergrad. After college he taught elementary school and coached wrestling for eight years. Looking for a new direction, he attended Vermont Law School where he received his Law Degree as well as a Masters Degree in Environmental Law and Policy. After working in Richmond Va for a couple years he found his way to Carteret County and started what is now the Suggs Law Firm.

Since then, Chris has dedicated his practice to Criminal Law. He has handled every type of case from traffic tickets to Capital Murder. Chris prides himself on providing clients with options that fit their individual needs, from negotiated resolutions to jury trials.

Chris is married to his beautiful wife Kathleen and they have one daughter and three little dogs. In his spare time Chris enjoys spending time with family and playing vintage guitars.

Jarrett Irizarry, Paralegal

Jarrett Irizarry is a dedicated paralegal at Suggs Law Firm, PLLC, bringing a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to the legal field following his recent graduation from the Carteret Community College Paralegal Program.

His journey into the legal profession began with rigorous training at the college, equipping him with the knowledge and skills essential for a successful career in the legal field. Specializing in the intricate world of criminal law, Jarrett has immersed himself in this fascinating domain for nearly two years, honing his abilities and growing into a seasoned paralegal capable of providing invaluable support to both clients and the legal team.

One of Jarrett’s key roles is ensuring that clients are well-informed and supported throughout their legal journeys. He excels in bridging the gap between client and attorney, fostering transparent and open communication. He provides clients with regular updates on the progress of their cases, offering peace of mind and ensuring they are actively engaged in the legal process.
